Moscow Gnessin Special School (college) of Music procedure for admission and education of citizens of foreign countries
- State Budget Professional Educational Institution “Moscow Gnessin Special School (college) of Music”, hereinafter referred to as the College, admits foreign citizens, stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, according to direct agreements (contracts) between the College and the foreign citizens.
- According to the Charter and the Regulations on the provision of paid educational services at the State Budget Professional Educational Institution “Moscow Gnessin Special School (college) of Music”, the right of admission is valid for the citizens of foreign states with a document confirming their completed education, which is equivalent to the document confirming completed education issued according to the state standard of the Russian Federation, required for admission to the corresponding level of educational programs or stage of secondary professional education, with skills in music compliant with the College’s admission requirements.
- You can come to the initial consultation upon preliminary agreement with the tourist visa during the academic year. It is also possible to attend annual workshops of Moscow International Gnessin Summer School (the event is carried out in August) or send a video with performing your program at the following address to receive the comments of the teacher: zavuch@gnesinka.com.
- The deadlines for accepting documents from the applicants are posted on the information stand of the admissions office and the official website of the College not later than April 10 of the current year.
- Admission examinations include performance of a program playing the musical instrument, and interview in solfeggio and Russian language. The results of examinations and the level of Russian language knowledge are the key factors determining whether foreign citizens are admitted to preparatory or main department.
- Preparatory section (1–2 years) includes specialty classes, solfeggio, and Russian language. Upon successful completion of education in the preparatory department the student is recommended for admission to the main program of secondary vocational education and takes creative entrance examinations according to general terms.
Completion of education in the preparatory course is not a guarantee of further admission for the main educational programs; state type diplomas are not issued for those who completed the preparatory course. - Applicants from foreign states must provide the following documents to the admissions office:
- A copy of the document confirming the identity of the applicant.
- the original of the document(s) of the foreign state confirming the level of education and (or) qualification if the education confirmed by the mentioned document is accepted in the Russian Federation on the level of corresponding education according to Article 107 of the Federal law No. 273-FZ “On the education in the Russian Federation” dated December 29, 2012, or the original of the certificate of an educational institution confirming the current level of education academic performance (for applicants to grades 1–9, as well as year I applicants).
- Translation of the document of a foreign state confirming the level of education and its appendix (if it is stipulated by the legislation of the state issuing such a document) or the certificate issued by the educational institution confirming the current level of education and academic performance; shall be duly certified.
- Copies of documents or other types of proof confirming the affiliation of the compatriot living abroad with the groups stipulated by Article 17 of the Federal Law No. 99-FZ “On the state policy of the Russian Federation concerning compatriots living abroad” dated May 24, 1999.
- Health record (certificate) with the information about the condition of health (with a chest X-ray), and vaccination record, as well as their translations into Russian according to the established regulations.
- A copy of health insurance card.
- Copies of the entrance visa of the Russian Federation, and the migration card.
- 6 photographs, 3×4 cm.
- Foreign citizens can only come to study if they receive an invitation from the College. In this case they can apply for a multi-visa of the Russian Federation and registration at the place of residence.
- Admission to the preparatory division, to study as a trainee, and in some cases to a full course of study, is possible not only from the beginning of the academic year. The payment is set according to the term of education.
- The students can live either in the dormitory or in a rented flat with registration at the place of residence.
- Payment for the education is carried out by bank transfer in rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation established on the day of payment. Address and account details are included in the Agreement.
- The School realizes the following educational programs:
- Primary general education (grades 1–4) at the expense of the budgetary funds of Moscow provided to the school for the fulfillment of the state assignment.
- Secondary vocational education, Instrumental performance (by instrument types), 6 years, 10 months (grades 5–9, years I–II).
- Secondary vocational education, Instrumental performance (by instrument types), 3 years, 10 months (years I–IV).
- Secondary vocational education, Sound engineering, 3 years, 10 months (years I–IV).
- Moscow Gnessin Special School (college) of Music provides educational programs for the following specializations: piano, violin, viola, cello, contrabass, harp, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion instruments. During organ classes the program of secondary vocational education, Instrumental performance (by instrument types), 3 years, 10 months (years I–IV) is realized.
- Education in the College is carried out in Russian.
- Those who completed a full course of education according to the chosen educational program of secondary vocational education receive a state-type diploma with conferred qualification and are able to continue their education in music universities in any country of the world.
- 1–2-year education according to individual plan (traineeship) with obtaining a certificate of Moscow Gnessin Special School (college) of Music confirming that the education course has been completed (list of disciplines, their volume in academic hours), as well as short-term training according to the chosen specialization with obtaining a confirming document is possible.
